That saying about “the best laid plans”? Yep, totally flying in the face of that bugger right here and now. I’m making plans for 2013 AND writing them down. Publicly. Yeah!
Right. Anyway, here we go.
Dave Peterson must deal with the fallout of his actions against Truman and learn to accept himself after a lifetime of internalized homophobia with the help of fellow football player Ralph Sadler.
Wylie Jones is perfectly OK with who he is now, but he’s never let anyone get close enough to know he wasn’t born male…until he meets Grant Faraday, a guy who’s never known who he really is at all due to a childhood spent on the road with a woman he thought was his mother.
I want to finish and release both of these follow-up books to Your Biggest FAN in 2013. Neither is very far along just now, but I’ve had massive breakthroughs in plotting and character in the past few weeks, so I’m feeling pretty confident.
AMBER PAX: WEREWOLVES
I’m revisiting the world of Yours Forever – and spending time with Rick and Danny! — in an upcoming Amber Allure Pax Collection featuring werewolves. Chase Maine is a small, ginger wolf who’s never really known the acceptance and protection of a pack until he comes to a small town where meets his mate in Dale Waters. Problems abound since something is forcing wolves to shift and not letting them shift back.
This will be my first time in a Pax, but I’m looking forward to being in a sort of anthology of themed stories with other Amber Allure authors — I know who, but I can’t tell yet. I’m not sure if this collection will release in 2013 because the deadline for stories is in September. It’s possible, though.
It’s only been a few months since their summer ended and Mal and Wes moved into L.A. to be together and go to school. Coming home for Thanksgiving ends up turning both their lives upside down when Mal comes out to his parents. Realizing he can never go home again and has no support system except for Wes, Mal decides to start making a real life for himself. It’s a good idea…in theory at least.
You had to know I was going to throw this one out there too. I mean, it’s expected that I babble something about writing the sequel to My Summer of Wes. Seriously, though. I’m trying. This could be the year!
You’re also going to see 3 Space Opera stories on my WIPs Page that I’ll be working on as time permits and I’m moved to do so. I’ll say now, though, that I’m not turning the first 1 in for consideration without having all 3 completed. I just have a feeling I’m not going to want to mess around with more sequels by the end of 2013.
So that, dear readers, is my 2013 plan. I will do my best to not end up looking back at this and laughing myself sick for thinking I could actually follow a plan, silly me. Here’s to 2013!
