Waiting is Evil

My latest story, What, releases in 3 days. On Sunday, April 29, I might actually stop twitching, zoning out, watching way too much TV, staring at random strangers in the hope they’ll distract me from the evils of waiting… It’s a form of torture, waiting. I’m pretty sure anyway. I mean, I dusted the attic! That’s how bad this is right now, people.

Some other distractions I’ve attempted:

  1. A passenger train leaves the train depot 2 hours after a freight train left the same depot. The freight train is traveling 20 mph slower than the passenger train. Find the rate of each train, if the passenger train overtakes the freight train in three hours.
  2. Pintrest, for when I’m feeling bored and innocent.
  3. Tumblr, for when I’m feeling bored and wicked.
  4. Writing — or sort of poking at — other stories just to fend off the insanity.
  5. Occasionally finding photos like the one below and writing new stories.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to look at this guy and his shorts and NOT get any ideas.

RRW Romance Reader Survey

RRW Romance Reader SurveyThe Research & Retail Committee of the Rainbow Romance Writers chapter of RWA would like to improve the shelving and marketing of LGBTQ romances in both physical and online bookstores. As you might have guessed from the post title, they’ve come up with a survey for romance readers to collect reading and buying data. This Romance Reader Survey is for readers of ALL kinds of romances, not just those that come under the rainbow. Though the survey is anonymous, there’s an option for you to enter your email address at the end for chance to win a $25 Amazon gift code!

(BTW, authors are readers too, so don’t think you authors can’t participate because you so can!)

Come Cuddle Me’s Cover

My sweet new cover from Trace Edward Zaber for Come Cuddle Me!Come Cuddle Me by Missy Welsh

Tucker naively posted a half-naked photo of himself on Pronblr and requested that someone come cuddle him for the night. He really did mean cuddling, but he didn’t mean for his friends to reblog his request since it also had his address attached. Now he has his neighbor Bill pissed at him for being so stupid while a parade of strangers answer Tucker’s plea…whether he wants their attention or not. Tucker needs someone to save him from himself and Bill might just be that guy.

WHAT, Ready for Galleys

Just a quick note that I got my first round of edits for What from my AQP editor last night. Twenty minutes, a whole lot of house style changes, the elimination of a few repeated words, and the addition of two sentences to help explain something… And we’re ready for galleys! :o Well, that was easy. :)
