My cell phone doesn’t take the best photos, but I knew I had to capture this one. I had to drive around the block like a dork to do it, but I did it anyway because the sign says “LGBT Marriage Celebrated Here.” What made this so special to me was that this little church is next to a public elementary school and on the main street that runs through the city. This is a bold proclamation for Akron and even more so for Fairlawn, in my opinion. So, yeah, sometimes I love my hometown.
