You and a Billion Blue Tiles

Now that the wonderful “How Summer Days” event on the M/M Romance group site is complete with so many amazing stories, I hereby offer my little contribution of You and a Billion Blue Tiles as a free PDF. I very much hope you enjoy!

Blurb:

Adam Grindall and Lincoln Stone are two 18-year-olds in the final days of their senior year of high school at the Bennington Academy for Young Gentlemen in Upstate New York. Adam is convinced it’s fate that draws him into the showers after a night of studying so he can finally get a chance to be with the guy he’s been crushing on for two years.

Lincoln had no idea being with a guy could be more than getting off, but Adam’s definitely more than he ever expected.

Can they make it work for more than one night? Can they build the foundation of a relationship that will last for years to come?

You and a Billion Blue Tiles – NOW AVAILABLE

You and a Billion Blue Tiles is now available over on the Goodreads M/M Romance group’s Hot Summer Days discussion thread here. You will need to be a member of the group to read it right now, but I will offer it free here soon. I would love to know what you think, so please leave a comment on the thread :) Enjoy!

You and a Billion Blue Tiles DONE!

I finished You and a Billion Blue Tiles today! :)

Submitting it to Moderator Jen in just a moment here. I’m so excited for everyone to read this story! It’s cute, funny, and extra sexy with a definite HEA. After they publish it over on the Goodreads M/M Romance group, I’ll post it in here as another free read like I did with my Christmas in the Sandbox story.

Missy’s Workspace

I thought I’d share a peek into this writer’s life by throwing up a shot of my desktop all set up for working on my little You and a Billion Blue Tiles project. I think how I write is equal parts interesting and boring as all hell, so I wasn’t going to subject you to watching me do it. Especially when it takes me an average of 4 hours to get roughly 2000 words on the screen — unless I’m really in the zone and the words are just flying out like I’m on autopilot and actually channeling my character, but that doesn’t happen often. So watching me write would result in something like “Oh my God! Did she seriously just move that comma AGAIN?!” and I don’t want to subject anyone to that.

So here it is, Missy’s Workspace, complete with a tiny preview of the story. :)

You and a Billion Blue Tiles

Over on Goodreads.com is a group you might’ve already figured out I’m kind of partial to: The M/M Romance Group. Early in my writing life as Missy Welsh, the people of that group were wonderfully supportive. Millions of authors to choose from, and they were happily urging me to add my first book to Goodreads so they could add it to their shelves. They taught me how to use the site to promote myself and, even though I haven’t published anything since January, they’re still encouraging and supporting me. So, when there’s an opportunity for me to give a little something back to them, you can bet I’m going to do it.

Back in December, their amazing moderators and some dedicated volunteers organized a free anthology of short stories based on a photo. That anthology, Stuff My Stocking: M/M Romance Stories that are Nice…and Naughty, has a story for just about every taste by some really talented authors and it’s totally free from Goodreads.com or ARe. Back then, there was a rumor that the group might do this again someday…and they have.
