Next month, I’ll be in New Orleans for the GayRomLit Retreat.

That’s meant some marketing-related purchases and branding considerations I never really thought about having to do as an author. Thankfully, there are some very intelligent and experienced people out there who have provided advice to me. (Thank you!)

Should you attend this event and find yourself on the riverboat for the author signing, you’ll get your choice of a postcard featuring never-before-seen artwork for My Summer of Wes, Take the Shot, or KLT23. One will make you say, “Aw, they’re so cute.” Another might make you gasp before you giggle. And the last one… Well, bring a cold drink because you might need it.

If you’re one of 4 people who will have breakfast with me during the Dine with an Author part of the event, I’ll have a special gift for you. It’s even something you can display right there in plain sight without having to explain it to your mother-in-law!

And then today, I got the last piece of swag that every attendee will get in their registration bags: Lipbalm! That’s them up there. All natural, neutral flavor, it’s a bit of pocket-sized happiness from me to you.
